Contest Rules
1. Eligibility
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.
This contest is open to Van Houtte Coffee services clients. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. CONTESTANTS WHOSE JURISDICTION OF RESIDENCE ALLOWS PARTICIPATION IN THE PROMOTION ALSO AGREE TO ABIDE BY THE RULES AND REGULATIONS SET FORTH BY THE GOVERNMENT OF QU�BEC. Employees of Van Houtte Inc. (the "Sponsor"), their representatives, their agents, their advertising agencies, their promotional and contractual partners and persons with whom any of the aforementioned are domiciled and the immediate family members of each are not eligible.
2. How to Enter
Contest begins June 15, 2006, 12:01 a.m. (Eastern Time) and ends August 24, 2006, 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Time) (the "Closing Date").
To participate in the "Stay cool at work!" contest,
you must:
*Visit www.vanhoutte.com/staycool . Entries will be made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the actual person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider or other organization (e.g. business, educational institution, etc.) that grants e-mail addresses. The provider must be responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Limit one (1) entry per person for the length of the promotion. Subsequent entries from the same person or e mail address throughout the promotion will be disqualified. Any attempt by a person to use multiple e-mail accounts to register more than once may result in disqualification at the discretion of the judges or Sponsor upon verification of prizewinners.
You will be asked to provide your first and last name, postal or zip code, e-mail address and account number. In order to win, entrants must have correctly answered a mathematical skill-testing question and have completed all mandatory fields. All entries must be received by August 24, 2006, 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Time) to be included in the prize draw. Contest entry is limited to on-line registrations only. The sponsors are not responsible for late, lost, misdirected, illegible or incomplete entries, which will be void. Each entry must be an original, and must be submitted by the entrant her/himself. All entries will be used for this draw and will not be kept for future draws.
3. Prizes
1 cooler filled with 60 Iced cappuccino bottles. 5 coolers and 300 bottles to be drawn. A value of more than 300$
4. Prize Awarding
On or about 3:00 p.m. (Eastern Time) on July 13 and on August 24, 2006, at Van Houtte Inc head office (8300 19th Avenue in Montréal), the winner will be drawn randomly from all eligible entries received on or before the contest Closing Date by Van Houtte. The odds of winning the prize will depend upon the total number of eligible entries received on or before the contest Closing Date. The Sponsors will attempt to contact the selected entrant after the draw by e-mail ONLY within the ten (10) business days following the draw date. A selected entrant who has not successfully filled in all the mandatory fields will be deemed to have forfeited the prize and Van Houtte shall be entitled to select a new name from the qualified entrants. The contest organizers will not be held liable for loss of information, equipment failure or any other problem such that the organisers cannot reach the potential winner.
In the event that an entrant is not eligible, or cannot be contacted after ten (10) business days by the Sponsors, the Sponsors shall have the right to redraw another entrant as a Prize Winner and the Sponsors shall be released and discharged from any liability or responsibility in this regard. By entering this contest, the entrants automatically agree to accept and abide by these contest rules and regulations.
The winner's name will be available on Van Houtte's "Stay cool at work!" website the date of confirmation of the identity of the winner. Accordingly, the winner will have to consent to the public use of his or her name and city of residence on Van Houtte's "Stay cool at work!" website. Sponsor is not responsible and shall not be liable for late, lost, misdirected or unsuccessful efforts to notify winners.
5. TAX INFORMATION:
All federal, provincial, state, local, and other taxes on prizes are the sole responsibility of the applicable winner.
6. General Terms and Conditions
By entering the Contest, the contestant consents to the release of his/her name. The contestant declares to comply with the Contest Rules. Further, the winner must comply with all directions given by the event organizers or his/her participation in the event will be denied.
Contest entrants agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of the judging organization, which are final on all matters pertaining to the Contest. This Contest is governed by the laws of Canada. All federal and local laws and regulations apply. All taxes, fees, and surcharges on awarded prizes are the sole responsibility of the prizewinner. Return of any prize/prize notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. By entering, participants release and hold harmless Sponsor, their respective, its affiliated and related companies and advertising, promotion agencies and all of their respective directors, officers, shareholders, employees, agents, successors and assigns (collectively, the "Contest Entities") from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with the Contest or any prize won. Winners will be required to sign and return, within the time period indicated on the documents, a Declaration of Compliance with Contest Rules and a full Liability and Publicity Release and/or any other document.
BY ENTERING THIS CONTEST, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE OFFICIAL RULES. The Official Rules will be posted at the Contest Site throughout the duration of the Contest. Entrants further agree to be bound by the decisions of the judges, which shall be final and binding in all respects. Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual that it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or website; to be acting in violation of the Official Rules; or to be acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY A CONTESTANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE GAME IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, VAN HOUTTE INC. RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH CONTESTANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW..

7. Limitations of Liability
Sponsor is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by website users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest, or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of submissions in the Contest. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or authorized access to, or alteration of, entries. Sponsor is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of e-mail or players on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website or combination thereof, including injury or damage to participants' or to any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating or downloading materials in this Contest. If, for any reason, the Contest is not capable of running as planned, including infection by a computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other cause beyond the control of Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Contest, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest.
8. Except as expressly warranted herein, the prizes are provided to winners "as is" without further warranty of any kind.
IN NO EVENT SHALL VAN HOUTTE BE RESPONSIBLE HEREUNDER FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL OR INDIRECT DAMAGES EVEN IF VAN HOUTTE HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
9. For Quebec Residents:
ANY LITIGATION REGARDING THE CONDUCT OR ORGANIZATION OF A PUBLICITY CONTEST MAY BE SUBMITTED TO THE R�GIE DES ALCOOLS, DES COURSES ET DES JEUX FOR A RULING. ANY LITIGATION RESPECTING THE AWARDING OF A PRIZE MAY BE SUBMITTED TO THE R�GIE ONLY FOR THE PURPOSES OF HELPING THE PARTIES REACH A SETTLEMENT.
